Gifted and talented education/talent development is my passion. High ability children have exceptional learning needs which require experienced, trained teachers to meet. These students need the support of appropriate learning environments and opportunities for meaningful practice to develop their abilities into talents. High ability children are a very diverse group that fall across a spectrum of abilities in different content and talent areas. It is important that a range of services be provided to address their needs so students are challenged and continue to love learning.
The services I provide focus on professional learning experiences for teachers related to gifted and talented education/talent development, informative sessions for parents and community members to better understand this special population, and program evaluation.
